In the new issue of Fashion Rocks Magazine, Jennifer Hudson discuss being a artist, proving to the world she's different from her character, "Effie White" in Dreamgirls, and finding her place in music.

Jennifer Hudson on album,

"It's not hip-hop. Let's just say that. I don't have anything against it, but it's not the music I like to sing. There's some pop in there, and some R & B - soul, but not hip-hop."

Hudson is working with Jam and Lewis (longtime producers of Janet Jackson) and Rodney Jerkins. She is still finishing her album, due in the fall. Jennifer favorite song so far is a piano-led ballad called, "Invisible."

Chris Tucker is to buy a lavish home in Las Vegas, according to reports. The Las Vegas Review Journal reports the Rush Hour star has bought a $4 million home by Lake Las Vegas.

Tucker is rumored to be planning a long-term performing stint in Sin City.

Rihanna has laughed off reports she is dating Hollywood star Shia LaBeouf.

The singer, 19, was photographed dining with the 'Transformers' star, 21, at a Beverly Hills restaurant on Tuesday, prompting speculation the pair were dating.

Rihanna says, "Me and Shia, we are just friends, you know, we barely even know each other."

The Barbados-born entertainer has also denied she is dating former B2K star Omarion, declaring, "Not at all." Source

No, really she is... How you can you expect Ne-Yo to hold on to 6-8 songs without cutting a check? Especially when he called her A&R people several times and received no response back.

"I was working with Britney Spears' people. I wrote 6 to 8 songs for Britney Spears. Then Britney goes ahead and shaver her head, goes into rehab and when that happened I lost all contact with her A&R people, with her label. I was calling them, they weren't answering my calls. So in the process of all that going on, that's when I meet Nicole Scherzinger. I played her two gongs, she loved them, they cut the check and she recorded the songs. So when that happened that's when Britney's people called and said ' why are you giving away Britney's songs' and I say 'uh, hold on.. y'all didn't cut me a check"
