James Brown's widow has hired a round-the-clock bodyguard because she's convinced someone is out to kill her following the death of her husband on Christmas Day.
Tomi Rae Hynie fears her life is at risk as a battle between her and her late husband's family over the soul man's estate heats up - and she isn't taking any chances.
In a tearful interview on US TV news show "The Insider," the visibly-scared singer says, "I'm afraid that someone is gonna give me a hot shot, walking down the street. I have big fears of that. "I'm never gonna go anywhere alone because people do funny things." Tomi Ray and her son, James Brown, Jr. were left out of James Brown's will.
