Before competing in American Idol, the 5-foot-9 singer, 25, had already accomplised a major feat: losing 60 pounds! "I use to wear a size 22." the now size -10 Season 3 finalist (who cut out fried foods and jogged to slim down) tells Us.
Yet, for Dream-girls, the Golden Globe nominee actually had to gain 20 pounds, which she piled on with cakes, cookies and inactivity. "It bothered me to not workout." she tells Us. As soon as filming wrapped in May, Hudson return back to her healthy habits - and fighting weight.
Diet -"It's all about health living" says Hudson, whose staples in green salads, fish, chicken, and cranberry juice. Her stayed-energized snacks: cashews, almonds, raisins.
Workout - squats, push-ups and abs (four sets of 25 each), plus running. "I never would have quessed I'd be up at 4 am to run."
