TLC star Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas has a new record deal. Chilli signed a deal with Akon's Konvict Records which is distributed through Interscope. Her solo album slated for release this Summer will also be distributed through Interscope. She announced the deal during the Hill Harper book signing at entertainment attorney Charles Mathis's mansion on Friday.
Chilli has completed 12 songs for her new CD and she plans to go into the studio with Akon this week to record 4 more songs. The diminutive singer/rapper said she signed directly with Konvict records rather than with major label Interscope because she liked Akon's grind and his production skills. SOURCE: Sandra Rose
