NEW YORK - Rappers Ludacris and 50 Cent have dissed Oprah Winfrey. Now, Ice Cube has a beef with the talk show queen.
"I've been involved in three projects pitched to her, but I've never been asked to participate," the rapper-actor tells FHM magazine in its July issue, on newsstands June 6.
"For 'Barbershop,' she had Cedric the Entertainer and Eve on, but I wasn't invited," says the 36-year-old rapper, referring to his 2002 movie. "Maybe she's got a problem with hip-hop."
Cube adds: "She's had damn rapists, child molesters and lying authors on her show. And if I'm not a rags-to-riches story for her, who is?"
A call by The Associated Press to Winfrey's spokeswoman at her production company, Harpo, was not immediately returned Friday.

I was wondering why she never had Ice Cube on her show for his last project about racism. She had the cast but not Ice Cube, and he created the show.
ReplyDeleteI can really agree with Ice Cube. I feel as she was lying when she went on the radio 2 weeks ago saying she enjoy listening to Rap Music. This is one time Oprah has really contradicted herself.
ReplyDeleteTrue there are a lot of rappers in the music industry who are doing the African American Community a disservice by downdgrading black women. However there are rappers out there who are doing a service to the community and have developed other songs that have highlighted us as a people. Ludacris has developed all type of music whether it's good or bad. It seems like she places every rapper in the same category group. Oprah should be more concern about Uncle Luke or some of the other rappers who only produce Un-Cut videos.
ReplyDeleteIce Cube created a movie for kids called "Are we there yet." He produced a reality series about how racism still exist in society today. It seems like he will never receive any credit for being a good producer or actor. No matter what, people like Oprah will only view him as just a rapper (who degraded woman in music)_
ReplyDeleteI don't like Oparh it is just something strange about her. I think she hate lower class back folks.
